The only way I've played Odama is on a hacked Wii, using Nintendont.

In this situation you need a physical memory card, because if you use Nintendont's virtual memory card feature if wont recognise the microphone in the second slot.

Also make sure to not insert the microphone until the game has launched, because Nintendont will stall loading its kernel if it is plugged-in.
