Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is a pretty crummy off-shoot of the EDF series. The main problem is that shit just drags on, and the weapons feel wimpy.

Interesting differences are that you have to place an explosive to destroy enemy spawners, and I like how the 'wingdiver' skates around. That's it.

• I couldn't figure out how to place turrets and mines and things as the tactical soldier. You have to hold RMB to aim, then press the relevant number key.
• There's an active reload feature, on most weapons. You need to hit the reload button again when the bar hits the white line in it's middle.
