====== Notes on Mega Drive Games ======

Started as more of a wishlist of games I want to write notes about, but I'm starting to put actual notes in here now. I've definitely messed with the MD library on emulators, but ages ago. Leaving out obvious shit like <del>//SOR//</del>, [[Treasure]]'s stuff, the [[Konami]] games, etc... for now.

I've recently (2/2025) got a [[sega_mega_drive|Mega Drive]] and [[mega_everdrive_pro|flash cart]], and am having a good time playing bits of lots of games.

| This is so good. Gorgeous, always trying something new. Feels like it's really pushing the Mega Drive to its limits. One of my fave [[railshooter|rail shooters]]. Kinda loses some of the magic if you play on an emulator. Deffo a top ten game on the MD. |||

| Fuck this rules so hard. My favourite of the three, just because of all the different moves. My memory of playing through the first SOR way back best matches this one. Music is so good. |||

| Oh yeah, I remember getting into this when I was playing the MD ROMset. Going off an old comment: Stylish Doom clone where you control members of a team, each has different abilities. You can jump, and there's a cool flamethower. There's an unreleased but available sequel I haven't tried yet. Gets repetitive, but fun for a bit. |||
