 I thought'd be fun to try to record the rough order I did/found major things in. I've mostly avoided the story stuff and just wandered round. Starting a bit late, but doing my best to remember:
   - Decided to be a good boy and headed straight for the temple of time.

   - Started heading north again to the swampy area and kept following the water to less-cold mountains.

I was really underpowered, so ran past every fight I could and took lots of shortcuts with the glider, mostly just had trouble from lighting and getting lost. This was the first thing that really made me like the game, it really felt like a journey up that mountain.

   - Had two towers to do, so thought I could cheese them a bit now I could jump a million miles into the air.
-  - Remembered those modular houses and how it seemed like you could buy one, so went back to Hateno. Guy sitting by fire I'd never seen before pointed me toward sa house over a bridge. So I did all the house stuff and upgrades.

   - Went looking for the house guy that left, and did his first request. Second needed a Goron, so stopped there. Also found the near-by great fairy and did some upgrades
   - Headed to skull lake and met the Fang and Bone guy.

   - Killed my first Lynel on the way to do the big elephant.
   - Post elephant did a bit more exploring, but didn't turn up much. Did a few little quests I've had sitting round for ages, like the dragonfly one.
-  - That led to be goign back to Gerudo place to do the secret club one (damn, shoulda done this age sago, nice reward!). Explored the desert a bit, and now I'm in the Yiga base unexcited about a stealth section.

+  - I'd been avoiding the 'major test of strength' shrines, but took a crack at one and it was easy enough, so went and did the other's I'd found. Lots of nice weapons now :3
+  - Spent some time doing some more side quests. Ended up getting a new one of those memory photos (2 left), and found the ruined colosseum/stable/shrine near the great plateau. Got to 150 korok seeds, but that didn't do anything. Stamina's maxed now.
+  - More side quests and shrines. Headed to Goron place to do stuff there, met up with the young guy near the bridge and got caught up in all that and ended up doing the best dungeon. So those're all done. Had to look-up online how to do the boss ...
+  - Decided to finish getting the memories, as there're only two left. When I went to get my last one, the one at Hyrule Castle I just kinda stumbled into the boss room so finished the game %%¯\_(ツ)_/¯%%
