A colophon is a small section of a document (most commonly books) that gives information about how it was published. For example where and who printed it, who published it, etc.

I've started to add colophons to my websites. Information I like to include:

• Software I used to write it
• Any other software, for example image editors
• Markup languages used
• Hosting information
• On whose lands it was made
• Software used to test it
