Tetsujin 28-Go is an early giant robot manga series, which has been adapted into several anime series. Mostly I'm interested in the PS2 game, though I'd like to watch the anime at some point.
This is my favourite of Sandlot's giant robot games (Remote Control Dandy, RAD), though like the giant robot stuff in some EDF games, the controls are simplified. You play from the perspective of the kid Shotaro Kaneda, who carries a control device for the robot. So not only are you moving the robot, you have to position yourself so as to get a useful viewpoint and stay out of danger. Unlike the other giant robot games your robot pal can fly, pick up Shotaro, and throw buildings.
