======Loquat======

We have a big loquat tree in the backyard. When we first moved in it was being strangled by some wire, but it seems happy now.

Things to do with loquats:

  * **Loquat cordial** - Makes a nice, light cordial.
  * **Loquat juice** - Pretty thick, but nice with blitzed ice and gin.
  * **Lojack** / loquat grappa - Loquat flavoured alcohol. Has a cherry taste.
  * Apparently you can make tea with young, de-furred leaves, but I've never tried.
  * People make wine, but I can't be arsed. When I'm in the mood to faff like that I'd rather do [[ginger beer]], or something similar.
