====== CrashPlan ====== ===== Troubleshooting ===== ==== Not Backing-Up ==== CrashPlan seems to like to tell me that backing-up is all done, even though it hasn't---and won't---done anything for days. [[https://support.crashplan.com/Troubleshooting/Cannot_Connect_To_Background_Service|Their instructions]] involve: - Navigating to ''/usr/local/crashplan/bin/'' - Running ''./CrashPlanEngine stop'' then ''./CrashPlanEngine start'' * ''systemctl restart crashplan'' should also work? You'll probably have to manually ''kill'' some process/es. You should get error messages with the PID, otherwise ''ps aux | grep crash'' to find things. Then use ''sudo kill {PID}'' === Otherwise... === It seems to help if I just change some setting related to back-up frequency. === See Also === * [[https://support.crashplan.com/Troubleshooting/Cannot_Connect_To_Background_Service]] * [[https://support.crashplan.com/Troubleshooting/Stopping_And_Starting_The_CrashPlan_Service]] {{tag>backup fixes software}}
